Free for one.
Priced for teams.

Every plan compiles for all seven targets and writes a Semantic Gap Report for every build. The plans differ in who shares the library and where it runs.

04Today, honestly

Status at Rev 0.x

What runs today.

SkillForge is a single-user prototype that runs on your own Mac. Solo is what exists.

Team builds on the accounts that already work: a built-in admin, members added on the People page, and a private library for each person. Enterprise is a plan, not a product yet.

The two rules — enforced by tests, not good intentions

1.

No guessed platform capabilities.

An adapter can't declare support for anything without an evidence URL and a verification date.

2.

No silent loss.

Every capability a target platform lacks produces a Semantic Gap entry saying what was done about it.

05FAQ

6 questions

Billing and self-hosting.

The questions that hold up a decision, answered from the README and the operations runbook.

Is Solo really free?

Yes. You run it on your own Mac. The only running cost is your own model key (default: GLM-5.3 on Ollama Cloud), which you pay the provider for directly.

How will Team be billed?

Per seat, per month. The price above is a placeholder until early access ends. Nobody is charged before it's published here.

Can we self-host?

Every plan is self-hosted today. You need Node.js 22+ and pnpm, then:

pnpm install cp .env.example .env.local pnpm admin:password pnpm build pnpm service:install

Put your Ollama Cloud key and a session secret in .env.local first. SkillForge then runs at localhost:4100, and restarts after a crash or reboot.

Where do our skills live?

In data/ on your machine. It's git-ignored, so Git doesn't protect it: back it up. The operations runbook explains how to back up and restore.

Can people reach it from outside our network?

Sign-in on the LAN goes over plain HTTP. Beyond a trusted network, use the Cloudflare tunnel (HTTPS), and set SKILLFORGE_ACCESS_CODE before anyone else can reach it.

Does a security review run the skill?

Never. Imported content is parsed and analysed, not executed.
